The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic came in as an unexpected storm; it was an occasion to evidence the strengths of medicine (vaccines being the clearest example), as well as its weaknesses. Children and adolescent were a particularly sensitive population during this time, due to both the limitations of daily life (for their loved ones and themselves) and problems in accessing health services, not to mention those with pre-existing psychiatric conditions or disability.
