Description
This Special Issue, entitled “Gel-Based Materials for Biomedical Engineering”, presents recent advances in the design, fabrication, and biomedical application of gel-based materials. Gels, particularly hydrogels, have attracted considerable attention in tissue engineering, wound healing, drug delivery, and regenerative medicine due to their high water content, biocompatibility, and structural tunability. The contributions in this collection highlight a variety of gel systems, including natural and synthetic polymer-based hydrogels, nanocomposite gels, and stimuli-responsive materials.
