Description
Sports Medicine and Injury Prevention: The shift towards personalized approaches in sports medicine optimizes athlete care by considering unique biomechanics, medical history, and performance goals. This Special Issue highlights personalized medicine's impact on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance management. Kopf et al. investigated painkiller use in amateur football, revealing that 36.2% of players used painkillers for pain relief. While 74% of coaches opposed their use in competition, 56.2% admitted to using them, indicating a need for preventive measures.
