Description

Sustainable development is an interdisciplinary challenge that involves the environment, society, and the economy. The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), outlined in the 2030 Agenda, serve as a call for action for all countries. Fulfilling the SDGs grows more pressing, while the consequences of no action are becoming evident to citizens. Scientists and spatial data stakeholders worldwide utilize Geographic Information Systems and Cartography to analyze, assess, visualize, and communicate spatial and developmental inefficiencies in support of planning efforts and policy pathways that aim to achieve sustainability objectives.
